Japan's Solar City



Nov 11 - A solar-powered city offers a model for future self-sufficient energy communities, producing electricity with rooftop panels.

The Japanese government scrapped solar panel subsidies in 2006, but is planning to revive them next year, with new subsidies expected to cover 10 percent of the installation costs.
